Library

The Dublin Library, located at 200 Civic Plaza, is a branch of the Alameda County Library and serves the residents of Dublin. The City of Dublin supplements library funding, paying for 31 hours of service including Fridays and Sundays.

Friendly staff are ready to help you find books, movies, music and more. Come in and join us for storytimes, author visits, book discussions, senior days and other special event programming. The library has 40 public Internet stations and free wireless Internet is available to cardholders. Access the Library’s website at www.aclibrary.org and discover your 24/7 library replete with homework help, e-books, e-audiobooks, the Library’s catalog, online magazine articles and many other full text resources for research and lifelong learning. Self service options allow you to place holds, renew items, and pre-register for a library card. Library breaking news and views is available on the Dublin Library blog at dublinlibrary.wordpress.com

The Dublin Library is supported by the Friends of the Dublin Library. The Friends sponsor two book sales a year, publish a newsletter, sell promotional items, and promote the library during community events such as the Day on the Glen. Funds from book sales support summer programs for children, adult book discussion groups, and other services and equipment needs of the Library. The Friends always welcome new members.
